Lakshmi Tatma, 8 limbs baby of Two years

Lakshmi Tatma is a two years old girl. She was born to a poor rural family with 8 limbs in a village in the northern state of Bihar. The villagers believe that Lakshmi Tatma was sent from GOD. On belief of God, her parents named after the Hindu Godess of wealth Lasmi who has four arms. First I read the news on SouthAsiaBiz.

As news of her birth spread among the 500 inhabitants of Rampur Kodar Katti - a remote settlement without electricity or running water - men, women and children queued for a darshan, or blessing, from the baby.

As Lakshmi’s parents are poor and have no ability to treatment their child, the hospital's foundation is paying for the surgery.

"We tried to take Lakshmi to hospital but they turned us away and said nothing could be done," Mrs Tatma said. "We saved money and even went to Delhi but the hospitals there turned us away too. Lakshmi had never once seen a doctor until Dr Patil came to our village and took an interest in our case.

I hope that Lakshmi Tatma will come round soon. Especial thanks to the Narayana Health City authority that is bearing all the expenses for the critical operation.
