Elena Sokolova is a Russian Figure skater. She became national champion three times and a three-time European medalist. She also won world silver medal in 2003. She started her Skating career 1996-97 and got five achievements in that year. Elena Sokolova was born on February 15, 1980 in Moscow, Russia. Her height is 162 cm.

Sokolova is a three-time Russian national champion (2003- 2004, 2006), a three-time European medalist (2003-2004, 2006) and the 2003 World Silver Medalist. In the 2006 Olympic Games, she stumbled badly and only finished 14th. She redeemed herself in the 2006 World Championships by coming in 4th with a personal best score of 177.85. Her almost-flawless free skate surpassed Sasha Cohen's. Her coach is Viktor Kudriavtsev and her choreographer is Alla Kapranova.
